Non Discrimination
Touro Law Center does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, age, handicap or disability, marital status, or sexual orientation. This policy applies to admissions policies, educational programs, employment practices, and other activities sponsored by the Law Center. Touro Law Center complies with all applicable federal, state, and local laws relating to discrimination.

Recruitment and Admission
Touro Law Center seeks to provide a comprehensive opportunity for the study of law and entry into the legal profession by qualified members of groups that have been victimized by discrimination in the past. The Office of Admissions has taken several initiatives to promote the enrollment of minorities, economically disadvantaged persons, persons with disabilities, and women.

The Law Center actively supports the summer institutes of the Council on Legal Education Opportunity (CLEO) and welcomes inquiries from CLEO graduates; further, it engages in recruitment efforts and reviews applications in a manner that is sensitive to disadvantages that distort the usual admission criteria.

Students with Disabilities
The Law Center is accessible to, and welcomes applications from, students with disabilities. In an effort to ensure that all applicants are evaluated appropriately, the Law Center invites statements from applicants about any disability. This is particularly the case when the disability bears upon the validity of objective data, such as the LSAT or GPA, or when the statement shows how prior performance demonstrates excellence in light of a disability. However, applicants do not have to provide this information unless they choose to do so.

Compliance with State and Federal Law
In compliance with the requirements of state and federal law and the rules of the American Bar Association, the Law Center makes available on request additional details about financial assistance programs and student loans (including deferment and forgiveness programs); costs of attendance; refund policies; academic programs; facilities and programs for students and applicants with disabilities; contact information for law school accrediting bodies; academic standards; child care assistance; sexual harassment policy; campus security; and substance abuse assistance and prevention programs.
