The Fannie Lou Hamer Internship/Externship Program
The Mississippi Workers’ Center for Human Rights Internships offers the Fannie Lou Hamer
Intership/Externship program for students interested in civil rights and human rights. The internship includes
participation in conducting research, interviewing clients, attending community, organizing meetings and
conducting fair housing inspections.
Feminist Majority Foundation Internships
The Feminist Majority Foundation offers internships in Washington, D.C. and California to
assist with legal matters on a case-by-case basis and assist with international women’s rights
campaigns.
Global Rights Internships and Fellowships
Global Rights, a human rights advocacy groups that partners with local activists to
combat human rights violations, offers internships and fellowships to students committed to human rights and
international law.
Human Rights First Internships and Fellowships
Human Rights First offers New York and Washington, D.C. internships, as well as
fellowships for students interested in working in the United States and abroad.
Human Rights Watch Internships
Human Rights Watch, an organization that conducts fact-finding investigation into human
rights abuses across the world and publishes their research to bring attention to international human rights
violations, offers summer internships for law students in New York and Washington, D.C.
National Conference on Soviet Jewry Internships
The National Conference on Soviet Jewry offers internships to law students wishing to
advocate on behalf of Jews in Russia, Ukraine, the Baltic States & Eurasia. Law students attend Congressional
hearings and meetings with U.S. and foreign government officials, as well as participating in outreach, research,
organizing, and writing on behalf of the organization.
Physicians For Human Rights Internships
Physicians For Human Rights offers internships to students interested in human rights and
the role of health professions. Interns assist staff with research, campaign organizing, and regional monitoring
for human rights violations.
Polaris Project Advocacy Internships
