Summer Programs and Institutes on International Human Rights

American University's Academy on Human Rights

American University’s Academy on Human Rights three week summer program at American University is open to lawyers, human rights professionals, and law students as a graduate certificate program in which law students can earn up to seven credits toward their degree.

DePaul University College of Law's Human Rights Law in the Americas Program

The DePaul University College of Law Human Rights, Law in the Americas program in Costa Rica offers human rights courses and site visits to institutions engaged in rights-based advocacy.

Georgetown London Summer Law Program

The Georgetown program in London focuses on comparative and human rights law, working in cooperation with University College London and King's College London.  The program includes a speaker series and organized visits to legal landmarks such as the Royal Courts of Justice, the Central Criminal Court, British Parliament and The Inns of Court.

George Washington/Oxford Program in International Human Rights Law

The George Washington/Oxford Program in International Human Rights Law comes from the University of Oxford Department for Continuing Education and the George Washington University Law School. It focuses on the philosophy, history, doctrine and practice of international human rights law.

New England School of Law's International and Comparative Human Rights Law in Galway, Ireland

New England School of Law International Comparative and Human Rights Law & The Irish Centre for Human Rights at the National University of Ireland program in Galway, Ireland offer a summer program in international and comparative human rights law.

The program offers coursework covering international human rights, comparative civil rights and comparative criminal justice.
