Q: Does Touro offer any scholarships?

A: Yes. All applicants are considered automatically for scholarships, and over 50% of entering students receive awards:

Dean's Fellows - Full tuition scholarship renewable for the duration of law school (dependent upon maintaining academic excellence). Students are considered based on undergraduate record, LSAT score, community involvement, work experience, and a combination of other factors.

Merit Scholarships - Awarded to promising entering students based on their undergraduate record, performance on the LSAT, and a combination of other factors. These scholarships range from $1,000.00 to full tuition remission, renewable annually, within the terms of the original offer.

Incentive Awards - Awarded to students from backgrounds that have historically been underrepresented in the legal profession. Incentive awards range from $1,000 - $5,000 per year and are renewed annually, so long as the recipient remains in good academic standing.

Q: What sort of financial aid is available?

A: The Law Center maintains a generous scholarship program, designed to recognize and reward exceptional academic achievement and potential. In addition, a variety of student loan programs are available to help students defray educational and living expenses

Q: Are loans sufficient to cover the entire cost of attending law school?

A: Yes. Even if you are not awarded a scholarship, a combination of federal and private loans should be adequate to cover all the expenses (tuition, fees, room and board, books, etc.) of attending Touro.

Q: Which form is required to apply for financial aid?

A: The Law Center requires the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form for all federal and institutional aid programs. The FAFSA form is a pre requisite for applying for the specific loan programs. This form should be filed between January 1 and June 1. Early filing alleviates problems related to financing your education.

Q: What is Touro Law Center's code for the FAFSA form?

A: Touro's FAFSA code is 010142.
