Dear Alumni and Friends,

 

As a 3L and the President of the Student Bar Association at Touro Law, I want to thank you for your help in molding a law school that I am proud to attend. As I near the end of my academic career at Touro Law Center, I am reminded of the many gifts I received as a student including lifelong friendships, a foundation for a successful future, and generous scholarship support over the past three years. The scholarships I have received provided financial relief and showed me support that was integral to my success and growth during law school.

 

At Touro Law, I sharpened my client-facing skills, honed my legal research, writing, and oral advocacy, and learned more about myself and why law is the right career for me. I have been fortunate to work in different areas of law, travel around the country to meet with various professionals, and work with clients who are grateful for the help Touro Law provides through our clinics and Public Advocacy Center. Touro Law students consistently do great things and make valuable contributions to the community! Did you know last year’s graduating class provided over 30,000 hours of pro bono service to the community? 

 

I am so proud that Touro Law is such a tight-knit community of faculty, staff, and alumni who are always there for students by providing practical skills training, teaching substantive law, looking out for my career interests, and preparing me to pass the bar exam! 

 

I will never forget the kindness, mentorship, and guidance my professors have given me. My professors (and the rest of Touro) have cheered me on since I walked into my first Civ Pro class during my 1L year. I know that they will continue rooting for me even after I graduate!

 

I am grateful to be leaving Touro Law with a purpose—to help those who can’t help themselves and to be the change I want to see in the world. Seeing the difference that competent, zealous, and passionate advocacy can make in people’s lives has been the most incredible experience of my time at Touro Law. It reaffirmed my choice many years ago to take a chance on myself, pursue law as my career path, and earn my degree at Touro Law Center.
