Friends of the Library Program Benefits Attorneys
August 20, 2012Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center’s Friends of the Library program provides the opportunity for attorneys to access the Gould Law Library’s extensive legal collection – located in Central Islip across from the Federal and State Courthouses.
Lawyers who wish to use the library’s spacious facility and print materials – more than 462,000 volumes and volume equivalents - can do so at no charge. Attorneys who also wish to access the library’s online databases and Public Access Westlaw (on campus use only), may join the Friends of the Library program for an annual fee of $50.
“The Gould Law Library is a tremendous resource to both our students and the community. This program is a great opportunity for lawyers who are working across the street or in surrounding communities to have a quiet place to work and conduct research,” said April Schwartz, Director of the Gould Law Library. “Different levels of membership provide options for attorneys based on their specific library needs. It’s a great way to ensure that practicing lawyers have a chance to benefit from our library.”
Anyone interested in joining Friends of the Library please call (631) 761-7066 or email libraryfriends@tourolaw.edu.
