“Berg Fellows are excellent ambassadors of Touro Law. They are committed to social justice and hands-on learning opportunities to hone the skills they have learned in law school,” said Dean Salkin. “The fellowships provide a stipend for students, enabling them to work in non-paying public service jobs that they may not be otherwise able to afford. It’s an extremely valuable program and we are thankful to the Berg Foundation for providing these opportunities for our students.”

Students selected for the prestigious Berg Fellowships fulfill their pro bono requirements through Touro Law’s Public Advocacy Center and receive special consideration throughout the academic, allowing them to participate in special conferences and seminars and provided unique opportunities for interaction with practitioners and academics.
 
These fellowships are generously funded by the Berg Foundation. The David Berg Foundation was established in New York by David Berg in 1994. He was a lawyer and real estate investor. He graduated from Harvard Law School. The David Berg Foundation fund community legal services, public interest law projects, human rights anti-Semitism issues, law schools, Museums and Jewish history projects in Israel and in the US.
