This course covers civil practice in the New York courts under the New York Civil Practice Law and Rules (CPLR) and federal practice under the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure (FRCP). It will focus on the following issues: the jurisdiction and structure of each court system, motions, pleadings, discovery, remedies, special proceedings, judgments, and appeals. (No prerequisite. Open only to students in their final year of study.)
