This course approaches the interdisciplinary field of bioethics with a legal lens. Students will read legal cases, legislation, policy and guidance documents within the framework of bioethics (philosophy based). Issues addressed will include encompass the entire lifecycle beginning with reproduction and progressing through pediatric issues, adult medicine (includes disability, research, organ transplant, etc) and concluding with end of life / death dilemmas.
