Book a Tour
The tour component of the patch is satisfied by a law school or courthouse tour.
Law school tours are available Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. The tour takes between one hour and 90 minutes. The girls can tour any time of year, but they will probably get the most from the tour if they come during a time when classes are in session. For that reason, we generally don’t recommend mid-July to mid-August or mid-December to mid-January.
State Courthouse tours are available Monday through Thursday and begin at 11:00 a.m. The tour takes between 90 minutes and 2 hours. The girls can tour any time of year. The state courthouse tours are conducted by a Suffolk County court officer and accompanied by a law school professor, administrator, or student ambassador. The tour includes some time in arraignment court (in which the newly arrested are brought before a judge for the first time) and the lockup. For that reason, this tour may not be appropriate for Daisies and Brownies.
