Harav Yisrael Meir Lau, Shlita
Former Chief Rabbi of Israel
Harav Yisrael Meir Lau, Shlita is a Holocaust survivor who served as the Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi of Israel from 1993 to 2003. He is Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv and Netanya. After his tenure as chief rabbi, he was appointed chairman of Yad Vashem. In 2005, Rabbi Lau was awarded the Israel Prize for his lifetime achievements and special contribution to society and the State of Israel. He is a renowned Jewish Leader and Torah Sage. In 2011, he was awarded the Legion of Honor (France's highest accolade) by French President Nicolas Sarkozy.
Honorable Ido Aharoni
Former Consul General of Israel; Distinguished Member of the Faculty at Touro University
Ido Aharoni (Aronoff) is an Israeli diplomat, advisor to global companies, public speaker, university lecturer, writer and, investor. He was born in Tel Aviv to a family that settled in the Land of Israel in the 1870s. His diplomatic career in the United States spanned both coasts and included a term as Israel's longest-serving Consul General in New York. He has lectured and been a Member of the Board of Governors at Tel Aviv University. He currently serves as a distinguished member of the faculty at Touro University.
