Institute for Health Law, Bioethics, and Policy First Annual Symposium

The first annual conference of Touro University’s Institute for Health Law, Bioethics, and Policy will focus on the topic of Reproductive Health Policy. This conference will be held on Thursday, March 20, 2025 at the Touro University Main Campus, located at 3 Time Square in New York City.

The conference aims to address policy issues involved in the practice of reproductive care in the United States. The conference will be broken into three panels, with three speakers on each panel. Panelists will be announced by the end of January. The conference panels will be as follows:

  • In Vitro Fertilization– seeking presentations that focus on the policies that guide the practice of IVF.
  • Embryonic and prenatal genetic testing– seeking presentations that analyze the policy issues involved in offering genetic testing.
  • Abortion access (including pharmacologic abortion)– seeking speakers who will address specific state laws and policies in the post-Dobbs era that affect who and how women can access the full range of reproductive care (speakers can discuss both enacted laws and proposed legislation).

Rebecca Feinberg
Distinguished Chair in Health Law, Bioethics, and Policy and Associate Professor of Law, Touro Law Center
Professor Feinberg is cross-appointed as Associate Professor of Public Health and Bioethics at New York Medical College. Her scholarship focuses on reproductive policy and ethics with a particular emphasis on assisted reproductive technologies. Her work has been published in law reviews, medical journals, and bioethics journals.  

General Registration: $100 | Medical Students and Trainees: $50
Touro students and faculty attend at no charge. Registration includes meals.

NY CLE credit available to all participating attorneys.
